About

Who We Are

Formed in 1983, the Friends of the Manvel Library is a group of dedicated volunteers whose purpose is to raise funds to help support our local library and the services they provide to our community.

Striving to increase membership and involvement with our community, we have exciting projects and initiatives that are only made possible by contributions and memberships.

Libraries foster literacy of all kinds.

Libraries create healthy communities.

Libraries support culture and creativity.

Libraries provide public spaces.

A public library is the most enduring of memorials, the trustiest monument for the preservation of an event or a name or an affection; for it, and it only, is respected by wars and revolutions, and survives them.
